"For our first Sheffield event in 2022, we're coming in hard with two of the UK's most exciting artists and La Rumba firm favourites headlining at Hope Works with some of the best talent the city has to offer on support.

Crazy P joins us for a DJ set once again after Hot Toddy's stellar sell-out performance the last time we had them at Yellow Arch Studios back in 2019 with Romare and Dan J that people still shout about to this day. With roots in early house & techno and a career spanning over 20 years, Crazy P have spearheaded the revival of house, disco & soul in the UK since 1997, with feet held firmly both live on stage and in the club. With 8 critically-acclaimed albums spanning disco, funk, downtempo, house and electronica, Crazy P have become a household name across the UK, with hits such as ‘Like a Fool’ and ‘One True Light’ being played on repeat everywhere from underground clubs, summer festivals, and over the airwaves on live radio.

Co-headlining the show is the incredibly talented, O'Flynn, whose musical style and energy as a DJ resonates so closely with La Rumba's that it's no surprise that we're bringing him back to Sheffield for a third time. Hailed by Boiler Room as “one of dance music’s most prosperous newcomers”, O’Flynn’s afrocentric, percussion-heavy style has been backed by the likes of Four Tet, Gilles Peterson, Bonobo, James Blake, and Hessle Audio. Classics like ‘Tyrion’, ‘Desmond’s Empire’ and ‘Tru Dancing’ have shown O’Flynn’s diverse ability of creating anything from club-ready weapons to peak-time summer bangers.

On support we have Román in the Courtyard and Colecta, Kwake, and MYNA providing 5 hours of forward-thinking techno, house, breaks, electro, drum & Bass, and everything in between for some serious heat in Room 2. It wouldn’t be a Hope Works show without a hefty lineup in Mesters, now would it?
